It isn't a flashy last episode but it ended on a good note and it made me look forward on the next part. The MVPs of this arc would be Luke and Ariel 🥳 Rudeus and Sylphie owe them a lot for this one. Overall, this part has some lapses in art quality, especially with distant objects but the studio oddly covers it up with a high quality and detailed close-up shots. While animations for all the episodes are smooth and fluid, my other complaint is that they changed the seamless OP starting in ep 5 😕

A key moment is handled so subtly that both the viewer and Rudeus briefly “black out.” When she returns, the long-built tension finally eases. I kind of wish I could see that “blackout” moment again, hahaha～～～
