What made the episode even more meaningful was seeing the protagonist finally fulfill the promise that was made to Akira long ago. That moment carried a lot of emotional weight overall, this episode was surprisingly touching and heartbreaking. The emotions hit much harder than I expected, and to be honest, I was really close to tearing up while watching it.
