Adapting Chapters 157, 158 and 116-118 of the manga. The first story focuses on Mikan and a bit of her backstory when she and Rito were young. The adaptation remains faithful to the manga, with the main difference being how the flashback sequences are presented. The second story is another well-executed adaptation. Although the anime alters the sequence of events from the manga, the rearrangement improves the flow and restores what feels like the intended order. As for the third story, with three chapters being adapted within a limited runtime, a completely faithful 1:1 adaptation was unlikely. However, the studio did an excellent job selecting the most important panels from the manga, allowing the story to flow effectively despite the time constraints.
