Such a wild genre shift from the previous arc. Shaft absolutely cooked on the art direction here. The dialogue between Suicide-Master and Tropicalesque carries the episode effortlessly, and the gothic art style for Acerola's origin is incredible.
I absolutely loved this series/arc. It is such a brilliant deep-dive into the ancient lore. The art direction in this episode is a literal masterpiece. Visual and art including the storyline it's really a pieces of art.
The shift in direction was really interesting to see. I liked how the new dynamic between the characters balanced dark humor with quieter emotional moments. The episode had a different feel from what came before, but it still carried the style and atmosphere that made the series stand out. A fun start to this new part of the story.
