Them just finding a random catnip fruit and immediately teleporting into a neon underwater dimension was hilarious. Then they wake up in a giant cat pile like nothing happened. This show is so unserious and I love it

Purring ASMR overload. The goro-goro sound effects are so loud and ridiculous that I was laughing the whole time. Orca Meow trying to stay composed while vibrating is the best GIF this year

The Matatabi Dance caught me completely off guard. I was not expecting choreography this energetic from Shark Meow of all cats. Already rewatched that little wiggle sequence five times

Episode Context

The season's outdoor run continues here. Episode 33, "Attack of the Hawk!," broke up the trio's picnic with an airborne hunter, and Episode 34 shifts the group into a forest hike with a much lighter, stranger tone. The matatabi-related incident in the woods feeds directly into Episode 35, "The Interrogation," so this short interlude functions as setup for what follows.
