Episode Context

Following 'Silent Orbit,' where the Gundam pilots committed to destroying their mobile suits as a definitive gesture toward lasting peace, this episode confronts the immediate consequences of that idealism colliding with reality. 'Operation Meteor' functions as the dramatic engine of the three-part OVA, escalating the central conflict and pulling each pilot back into the fight they believed was behind them. Everything built here feeds directly into the climactic resolution of 'Return to Forever,' making this episode the linchpin of the entire Endless Waltz narrative.
