I think this is by far the best episode of this series, with Suletta that doesn't stutter too, as a bonus! Elan's story really was a highlight, even if it's more rushed than what I would've liked. But this also bring up the question of what Aerial even is, especially with what Elan saw at the end of the battle. I like how we got character development and also deeper mystery too! Great episode!
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury

Synopsis
A shy, socially awkward girl from a backwater planet, Suletta Mercury transfers into an elite corporate-run academy where students settle disputes by dueling in mobile suits. Pretty standard school drama setup, except the school's top duelist gets Miorine Rembran — the chairman's daughter — as their fiancée, whether Miorine wants it or not. Suletta stumbles into challenging the reigning champion, wins, and suddenly she's engaged to a girl she just met. It's as awkward as it sounds, and that's kind of the whole charm. This is the first mainline Gundam series with a female lead, and it uses that fresh perspective to dig into corporate politics, arranged power dynamics, and what it means to have agency in a system designed to strip it away. The school setting keeps things grounded and youthful, but there's a tension underneath — Suletta's mysterious Gundam has a dark reputation, and her mother's motives for sending her there aren't exactly transparent. Sunrise handles the mecha animation with the polish you'd expect, and the character dynamics carry real weight even in a 12-episode first season. If you liked the political intrigue of Aldnoah.Zero or the school-meets-mecha energy of Valvrave the Liberator but wanted something with sharper writing and more nuanced characters, this lands in that space. And if Neon Genesis Evangelion got you into the idea that mecha stories can be deeply personal — this one earns that comparison in its own quiet way.

Quick Takes
View all 28 takesT, t, t, t, this is h, h, h, how Suletta's Dialogue is, is, is, written, probably. No, Suletta's stuttering isn't someone who suffer from speech disorder, her dialogue is just badly written and/or the direction given to her VA is horrid. Beside my complain about Suletta, I have to complain about Guel being everyone's punching bag, despite his previous claim to be a great duelist. The writing is getting atrocious, especially with what they did with Elan, which supposed to be an interesting bit, but the characterization feels rushed and unclear. I hope the writers to pick it back up, please.
I'm sorry, but I have to say this first and foremost, that Suletta's stuttering really is getting on my nerves, especially when she's being surrounded by stronger characters, like Chuchu and Miorine. And finding out Suletta shared the same VA as Fern was even more surprising, this means the director is at fault. Beside that, this episode doesn't really add anything yet to the story except to introduce us to Chuchu and some of the racism in this series. A meh episode, I'll try switching to Eng Dub next.
