The pacing is okay. There are no battles in this episode for those who mainly watch for action, but it shouldn’t be skipped either. The buildup is important for the next episode.

Solid watch! The pacing slows down to map out the journey, but the real highlight is seeing the sheer contrast when the Earth elites physically cross paths with the impoverished kids. The episode highlights the systemic inequality perfectly.

okay so ep 4 and the scale of what tekkadan is attempting starts sinking in ngl hahahahha. space is brutal and unforgiving and the show doesnt let you forget it well pacing slows a bit and atmosphere hits different.

Episode Context

Coming off the visceral fallout of episode 3's 'Glorious Demise,' episode 4 serves as a strategic breather at the quarter-mark of the season, letting Tekkadan regroup and plan their escort mission to Earth. It bridges the show's opening conflict phase into the longer journey arc, deepening character motivations and establishing the logistical stakes of evading Gjallarhorn. This groundwork directly feeds into episode 5, 'Beyond the Red Sky,' where those plans will be tested.
