Very interesting developments are starting to happen, ones that hint to more than just one-off storylines like we've had before these past two episodes. The action in this episode was actually crazy - basically didn't even get a second to breathe once it started - and all the layers to what was happening was insane to watch get unravelled. That being said, I, unfortunately, wasn't moved by Chicken Man's backstory - it is what it is. Curious to see what the next couple episodes are going to bring.

Its a hauntingly beautiful episode that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Episode Context

Sitting at the one-third mark of this 27-episode run, Episode 9 functions as a clear pivot point, the world-building and character introductions of the first eight episodes, including Episode 8's visit to Hinagiku's headquarters, give way to escalating personal conflicts and higher-stakes missions. Kurogao's vendetta against the Yozakura family introduces a threat that feels distinctly more dangerous than earlier challenges, setting the stage for the deeper narrative threads that will likely dominate the season's middle stretch. This is where the show starts asking its characters, and its audience, to take the spy world's consequences seriously.
