A wild train ride of an episode if I've ever seen one. The amount of stuff that went on is ridiculous, and the amount of reveals we also got was ridiculous. Emotionally, they did everything right. I was so tense the entire time (in a good way) while watching the insanity unfold before me. Like, I feel like I can't even talk about this episode without it being spoiler heavy, but all I'll say is I wasn't ready for things to start kicking into gear, like, two minutes into the runtime. Absolute insanity.

This episode is the best of this season, especially the train battle. Seeing Taiyo's emotion during Hakuja's final revelation had me so hyped. Seeing his rage turn into empathy had me hooked because of his reaction. His victory felt bittersweet rather than just a simple win.

Episode Context

Sitting at episode 20 of 27, 'Sun Earrings' marks a decisive pivot point in the back half of the season. After Episode 19 pulled the curtain back on the Tanpopo organization's machinations, this episode narrows the lens to Taiyo's personal stakes, shifting from external conspiracy to intimate confrontation. It sets the stage for the final stretch by bridging the threat-discovery phase with what appears to be a deeper excavation of the Yozakura family's buried history.
