EPISODE REVIEWS

We get introduced to a new face, and she's adorable! I can't say who to avoid spoilers (wink), but I really love when KyoAni shows off their top-tier animation. Some heartwarming scenes too. It's a funny and very sweet episode.

Episode Context

After the premiere established Tohru and Kobayashi's cohabitation, this episode expands the cast with Kanna Kamui, effectively transforming a roommate comedy into a found-family story that will define the rest of the season. It's a critical early pivot point, episode two of thirteen, that lays the emotional groundwork for the deeper explorations of belonging, acceptance, and dragon-human integration that the series builds toward in its second half. Without this expansion, the season's later character-driven arcs wouldn't carry nearly the same weight.
