A very emotional episode, a very short lived break from the racing to slow down for more character building. Some flashback and realizations that chop up the pacing but we're also treated to a familiar face driving down Mt. Akagi as a storm looms over the next race

Emotional episode that made me cry. Didn't expect that approach of story telling and it was also setting up alot of foreshadowing for upcoming races

The juxtaposition between slow moving character relationships and fast paced racing was really interesting visually! Though it wasn't as focused on racing as previous episodes, it takes a break to give some breathing room

The comment about there not being a letter for him was quite grounding in a realistic way. It's good the show has a dedicated episode for it so it doesn't feel like a loose end
