Episode 2 is a solid follow-up to the premiere. It takes time to develop Mimi as a character rather than rushing her into the harem, and the space battle delivers on the action front. The pacing slows down in the first half, but the episode's heart is in the right place. If you enjoyed the first episode's mix of space combat and lighthearted crew dynamics, this one continues in that vein .
