Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship!
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Meet Sato Takahiro — a regular office worker who plays too many space-shooter games — until he wakes up inside one. He's got a fully loaded combat ship that looks suspiciously like his favorite in-game craft, credits in the bank, and an entire galaxy of mercenary work waiting for him. Rather than panic about the whole isekai situation, he rolls with it, takes on the name Hiro, and starts living the freelance spacefarer life he never knew he wanted. Early on, he rescues a girl named Mimi from a bad situation, and she joins up as his first crew member. From there it's bounty hunting, faction politics, and a lot of space combat that actually feels weighty and tactical rather than just flashy. The dynamic between Hiro and his growing crew gives the show its personality — there's genuine camaraderie mixed with the kind of humor you'd expect when a former salaryman is suddenly commanding a warship. The tone sits in a comfortable spot between action-heavy and laid-back, never taking itself too seriously but still delivering when it counts. If you liked the crew vibes and space western feel of Outlaw Star, or the way No Game No Life drops a gamer into a world where their skills actually matter, this scratches a similar itch. It's isekai without the fantasy clichés — just a dude, his ship, and a universe worth exploring.
