Episode Context

Arriving just past the one-third mark of the 52-episode run, this episode directly follows the Blue Knight's dramatic first appearance and keeps the spotlight on the fallout from that encounter. It functions as the resolution half of a two-part story while simultaneously opening new questions about his identity and allegiance that the series will continue to pull on. What happens here plants seeds that will shape how the Mew Mews, and Ichigo especially, approach both allies and enemies in the episodes ahead.
