The transition from a helpful villager rescue to that insane hall scene where the teacher gets tortured was handled with a lot of tension, and it made the whole village feel dangerous. It's messed up how she offered up the astronomy club girls just to save herself, and the way the episode leaves them tied up in the storehouse is dark.
