I was gracious with the last episode, but the dialogue is even worse somehow. The plot is decent it’s a redemption arc, Joe takes the place of his late partner. However, the antagonist is a one-dimensional villain, why does he do the things he does. Why does he hate the migrants, simply because lives to be a hater.
Nuance does it exist, it doesn’t seem like it does. The migrants are accused of committing crimes, but it’s the Mafioso esque indigenous people who are criminals, recruiting kids to do their dirty work. It could have worked perhaps a close relative of his was murdered by a migrant, or he fell in love with one but it was unrequited. It won’t justify his actions but at least he won’t be a caricature.
