This episode is basically a pre-Halloween setup episode and we got to see the chaotic "Halloween Dress" competition. Poor Medaka can’t even catch a break lol.

A really cute goofy romcom that leads into comedy driven fanservice. I love the halloween vibe moments sounds fun but the pacing stay easy, and the way Mona will really do anything she can to find a costume to win over Madeka’s heart is so charming and cute.

The defensive line had to pivot to handle two high-energy offensive units at once, creating serious friction. It’s a total war of attrition now with zero room for error!

Episode Context

Coming off Episode 6's sick-day arc where Mona and Asahi tended to Medaka, this episode shifts back to school-life comedy and resets the dynamic to its playful tug-of-war default. Sitting at the season's midpoint, it serves as a breather that deepens the leads' rapport through lighter scenarios. The Halloween costume thread introduced here directly sets up Episode 8's holiday-themed events, keeping the seasonal momentum moving forward.
