Marie almost gets exposed for not being a real robot, Arthur shows more concern (still in denial), and there are lots of awkward, funny moments. It’s more about their chemistry than big plot moves.

Episode Context

Sitting at the exact halfway mark of the 12-episode season, 'Captive Marie' follows directly from 'Jealous Marie,' where Marie's feelings toward Arthur became impossible to ignore. This episode deepens that emotional thread while positioning the series for a tonal shift into 'Martial Marie,' which promises to introduce external conflicts alongside the internal ones explored here. It's a pivotal bridge episode, the introspection here is likely foundational for everything the back half of the season will build on.
