It seems Koji Kabuto's grandfather was heavily inspired by Zeus, which is likely why he designed Mazinger Z in his image. This episode was great! It’s hilarious how Koji's grandpa laughs like a complete villain, definitely a relief that he's actually on the good guys' side. One thing that puzzles me, though, is how terrified the villains are of Mazinger, almost as if they believe Zeus himself has returned from the dead.
