Episode Context

At episode 7 of 51, Raijin-Oh is still firmly in its establishment phase, building out the personalities of the Earth Defense Class and the rhythms of their double life as elementary school students and mecha pilots. This follows the early episodes that introduced the team and their responsibilities, and sits well before any deeper serialized drama kicks in. 'Taking Care of Drunkard' likely serves as a character-building breather that strengthens ensemble bonds ahead of more demanding episodes to come.
