EPISODE REVIEWS

Episode Context

As episode one of 51, this is pure foundation, the show establishing its world, its core trio, and the inciting disruption before anything else can unfold. Nothing precedes it, and it directly sets up the formation of the Earth Defense Class and their first confrontations with the Jaaku Empire in the episodes ahead. Everything that follows across the full season traces back to the circumstances put in motion here.
