A slower episode that does a good job of expanding the story while explaining what it means to be part of Code Zero. We also get a much clearer understanding of the plot and why this unit was created.
There were some great character interactions in this episode. Kurusu and Yamagami bonding over being legally dead is great stuff. The military politics and funding pressures drag the pacing down a bit. It feels very procedural right now, but the creeping dread of the government conspiracy keeps it watchable.
This was a light episode with nothing too intense happening. It was mostly about strategizing and getting more info on vampires. The pace was slow and the plot was straightforward, which made it hard to stay hooked. I got sleepy a few times and it was a challenge to finish, but the idea itself was good.
