If you like slow-burn historical dramas, you must watch it. The Taisho-era setting is gorgeous, and the way they use stage plays to frame the vampire tragedy is super artsy. It's a bit of a "mid" start pacing-wise, but Maeda’s stoic dad-energy carrying this messy squad is interesting.
The universe seems quite interesting so far. This first episode is slow-paced, but it takes its time introducing the story and its background. The plot isn't very clear yet, but for a first episode, that doesn't feel like an issue.
It was a heavy episode and a bit confusing if you didn't focus fully. The info wasn't heavy, but the plot was messy. It was delivered somehow, but you really need to focus. Bad first impression, but you still get a glimpse of how this anime will go!
