We get to see the story of Shimako and Sei from both perspectives, which is interesting. We see Shimako eager to be part of the Rose Mansion, even as an intern, while Sei comes to realize that Shimako is actually quite similar to herself.

Episode Context

Coming off the emotional weight of 'The Years That Flew By,' which brought a major farewell to the foreground, this episode deliberately decelerates and redirects attention to the White Rose family's ongoing tensions and growth. At the season's midpoint, episode six of thirteen, it functions as both a character study and a quiet pivot. It lays necessary groundwork for 'Cherry Blossom,' where the threads developed here begin to pull more visibly across the broader Yamayuri Council relationships.
