Synopsis
Kentarou and Shizue, childhood friends reuniting at a local summer festival after years apart, find themselves navigating familiar territory that feels anything but familiar. Things take an unexpected turn when Kentarou steps away briefly and comes back to find Shizue in a situation he definitely wasn't prepared for. That moment sets the tone for the whole OVA — a mix of nostalgia and something a lot more charged underneath the surface. The second episode shifts to a photo studio, where Shizue stops in to pick up festival photos and ends up doing a little modeling, with Kentarou eventually joining her there. Two episodes, two settings, one evolving dynamic between two people who clearly have history they haven't fully dealt with yet. Studio 9 Maiami put noticeable care into the animation here, and it shows — the visuals are clean and the atmosphere actually suits the quiet, summery setup rather than feeling like an afterthought. If you've watched something like Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo and liked how it balanced familiar character dynamics with sensual content, this sits in a similar space. Fans of Aneki... My Sweet Elder Sister The Animation will also find the pacing and character focus familiar. It's a short watch at two episodes, so it doesn't overstay its welcome. The summer festival framing gives it a genuinely warm backdrop that keeps things from feeling purely transactional.
