Episode Context

As episode 1 of 51, this is pure foundation-building, there is nothing before it, and everything after depends on what it establishes here. The central premise, the key relationships, and the show's tonal identity are all being defined for the first time. What this episode sets up will carry Natsumi through a full season of balancing ordinary fourth-grade life with an extraordinarily unexpected new responsibility.
