This episode was surprisingly cute. Watching Hyouma and Botan get flustered while Hayori acts casually was hilarious. Hyouma's awkward attempts to communicate showed a softer side of him, and the character chemistry felt stronger and more natural than ever.

This is funny! It was the last thing on my mind. I did think about a pairing, but more in the sense of becoming a powerful duo for sealing, opening, breaking, or whatever direction the plot ends up. I laughed at their blunt approach and at Hyoma's restrained composure throughout the situation. Nice. No dilly-dallying, no unnecessary dragging.

The episode begins to develop a subplot, and it also has entertaining action sequences with a balanced pace. We continue to learn more about the characters and their backstories. It is canon within the story.
