This was a surprisingly solid opener! The world feels unique, the supernatural lore is intriguing, and the cast leaves a great first impression. Hyoma's attitude creates plenty of tension, while the action and humor kept me interested throughout.

I like it. The animation has a classic sketch-background paired with modern animated characters. The soundtrack is also good. As for the plot, my first impression was that it felt like a mix of Yu Yu Hakusho, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and many other demon-possession or exorcism anime that came before it. I was wondering what more can they tweak from that overused plot. But the moment that guy, Nagi, transformed his arms, it became a thumbs-up for me. His stance actually reminded me of Soul Eater, with a twist. From that point, it felt the series had its own identity. It's only the first episode, but my gut tells me this could be a superb anime.

A first episode that's explanatory, fast-paced, with a good initial plot, action-packed moments, and good artwork, entertaining due to its content. It tells the story of Hyamo Kunato, who belongs to a society that deals with spirits who fall into the world. In this chapter, we learn more about their functions and how they operate in the world.
