Honestly, I don't even like romance that much but the way Hyouma and Botan’s relationship develops is so well done. It’s a organic partnership built on mutual inspiration and support. It never feels like self insert wish fulfillment either. I think it actually feeds into the bigger themes of the show. Just incredibly solid writing.
