Episode Context

Episode 8 hits the two-thirds mark of Kakushite! Makina-san!! and leans hard into a horror-comedy setup, as the title suggests Makina's secret android nature starts generating ghost story-level rumors. Expect the show's signature blend of ecchi comedy and sci-fi rom-com hijinks filtered through a spooky lens, think less genuine scares, more comedic misunderstandings spiraling out of control. The series thrives on Makina's attempts to hide what she really is, and this installment likely cranks up the tension between concealment and exposure in an entertaining new wrapper. At this stage in the season, character dynamics should be well-established enough for the comedy to land with more weight. The romance undercurrent continues simmering beneath the absurdity, keeping stakes personal even when the premise goes full supernatural farce.
