A brilliant, character-driven examination of mental fortitude and strategic plotting. The visual framing relies heavily on dim television screen lighting inside the Hornets' media room, casting heavy shadows over the strategists' faces. The graphics highlight data sheets and batting statistics, drawing the viewer’s eye to Sophia's sharp mind.
This episode was pretty intense! That old fire started to ignite again but with a tone of confusion and worry. The plot twist shocked many but also left with an unsettling and puzzled vibe. Goro and Gibson's intense scene was wonderfully executed, and that glimpse of Shigeharu running slowly intertwining with Goro's face was so emotional for me. Not expecting the cliffhanger twist, though.
Wait, Goro is being smart and empathetic? That's a WOW for me! Kidding aside, while this episode may be "disappointing" in terms of the results, it's actually a very nice episode if you look deeper into it. I just love and appreciate how certain things never die.
