EPISODE REVIEWS

Tense athletic recovery takes center stage under a beautifully rendered evening sky. The color palette utilizes rich, deep oranges and long, stretching shadows across the empty practice fields to mirror Goro's internal struggle. The animation tracks his rigid, unyielding posture as he throws ball after ball against a lonely concrete wall.

The pacing of this episode was slow and kept dragging on the first half. The tone was upsetting, especially how the plot was going to be. I agree with Lance, total disappointment of this ep, particularly of Goro. The setting in the second half was refreshing, though. It reminded me of Vinland Saga S2 and the vibes felt like a retreat from the city. That ending scene was certainly interesting!

Of course, the development went just as I expected. Though, I didn't expect Goro to run away like a kid, LOL! He's really stubborn to a fault, but I'm glad it didn't escalate into something stupid. That said, I really wonder how Goro will deal with this issue now.
