The long-awaited championship showdown brings an aggressive, high-contrast visual look. The animators use shifting shadows, bright dirt tracking lines on the pitcher's mound, and eerie lens glare overlays to signal the return of peak athletic competition. The tense tracking shots during every throw elevate the sports psychology stakes.
This episode is so freaking awesome and super epic! The scenes may not be cinematic, and the hype may not be through the roof, but the way they push through everything with grit and determination is simply amazing. That said, I usually watch things unfold quietly, but this episode brought out the inner fan in me. I found myself cursing the umpire's calls as the game went on, LOL!
The music was astonishing in the ep. It definitely provides an extra feeling of tension in the atmosphere, particularly when the Hornets are in a pinch. Not expecting that eagle-eyed Goro could see something on the ball from that distance and angle. Murdoch blushing was kind of creepy, though. But the ep itself was decent.
