This was a pretty immersive play coming from Goro. The plot was serious and conceited but the confidence to pull it off was mischievous. The tension was building on that cliffhanger, though. The pacing was kind of slow, it looked like it was dragging out a bit.

Watching this director get bested in the most humiliating way possible is comedy gold, Goro completely upstaging him when he was expected to win is simply delightful. Seeing him push the manual to its limits is not only funny, it’s also thrilling.
