Maids in Dream
Oshimeter
Synopsis
With no memory — not even his own name — Akio finds himself in an unfamiliar mansion, six maids standing over him and calling him 'Master,' while the head maid, Suzuran, calmly explains the situation: he can leave, but only once he resolves his personal issues. The catch? He has no idea what those issues are. No past, no context, no clues — just a big empty house and six women apparently dedicated to helping him figure it out. The setup is genuinely curious. There's a mystery underneath all of this — why is he here, what did he do or feel or lose that landed him in this strange in-between place — and the maid characters each have their own personality that colours how they interact with him. It's a two-episode OVA adapted from a visual novel, so don't expect a full resolution, but the premise carries real intrigue for what it is. If you've watched He is My Master or Hand Maid May and want something with a slightly more melancholic, introspective undertone beneath the maid-mansion setup, this scratches a different itch. It's less comedic, more quietly atmospheric. The adult content is there, but the amnesia-and-self-discovery framing gives it more texture than you might expect from a 2003 hentai OVA. Go in knowing what it is, and you might find the mystery hook more engaging than anticipated.
