The idea is that the evil stone stays safe as long as she does. The problem is, every demonic clan in the underworld now has a very personal reason to hunt her down — and destroying her body isn't an option for them, since that won't free the stone. So they get creative with how they come after her instead. That's where the OVA goes, and it earns its adult rating quickly.
