Episode Context

Coming off the dramatic tension of Hazuki's kidnapping arc in the previous episode, this installment pivots the season toward a new competitive threat with the introduction of Majo Ruka as a rival presence challenging the MAHO-dou. At episode 20 of 51, the series is entering its middle stretch, and this episode acts as a turning point that raises the external stakes for the apprentices' path to becoming full-fledged witches. The rivalry established here is expected to ripple through upcoming episodes, adding a new layer of competition to what has largely been a journey of personal growth.
