The flashback storytelling in this episode was incredible. Seeing how the original magical girls crossed paths and formed their bonds gave so much context to the current mystery. The visual in this episode is great.

The episode gets intense in the first half, but the rest is emotional and sweet (?). I honestly can't just describe it with synonyms because we all know there's always something eerie and dark in each episode. So let's just say there's more of the found-family trope.
