Magi is a really lighthearted anime most of the time but we have seen several times even from season 1 that the writers are not afraid to show darker aspects of life, in this episode we see the party facing one of those villain you just can't emphatize with.

It really bothers me seeing enemies use children as weapons, it feels so unfair and wrong. This episode was frustrating to watch because of that. It’s powerful, though, since it shows how cruel the situation is and makes you feel that anger.
