A great episode that finally reveals the dark side of Magnostadt and makes you angry at the injustice unfolding there. It also introduces Marga, who quickly became one of the most adorable characters in the series.

In this episode, Aladdin, Titus and Sphintus finally see what lies behind Magnostadt seemingly peaceful and advanced image with their own eyes. As I said before in my previous reviews, the writers of this anime is not afraid of introducing darker aspects of life to its plot.

Episode Context

Sitting just past the midpoint of the 25-episode season, this episode deepens the Magnostadt arc that began with Aladdin's enrollment and his introduction to Titus Alexius in the preceding episodes. 'The Hidden Citizens' transitions the arc from academic intrigue into a darker investigation of systemic inequality, directly setting the stage for 'The Magicians' Country' where the discoveries made here begin to challenge everything the trio believed about their surroundings.
