Episode Context

As episode one of a two-part OVA, this is pure foundation, every scene exists to establish the characters and the central conflict before the story resolves in episode two. There is no prior episode to build from; this is the entry point. It sets up the ideological and emotional stakes between Promethium, Maetel, and Emeraldas that the finale will be forced to pay off directly.
