Synopsis
Shoutarou finds himself living in an apartment complex full of confident, curvy older women who seem completely unbothered about making his daily life extremely difficult to focus on — a situation that sounds great until you actually need to get anything done. Every trip to the hallway, every shared common area — someone's there, radiating energy and telling him to just do whatever he wants. He's not complaining exactly, but he genuinely cannot get any studying done, and at some point a guy has to make responsible life choices. So he decides to move out and live like a normal student. Then a new apartment manager shows up, and that plan falls apart pretty quickly. That's the setup for this single-episode OVA from Studio 1st, based on a visual novel and released in 2014. The appeal here is pretty specific: it leans hard into the mature woman archetype, and if that's your thing, the character designs and animation deliver on what the premise promises. The tone balances light comedy with the erotic content — it's not played completely straight, and the situation has a low-key absurdist humor to it. If you've watched something like Aneki... My Sweet Elder Sister The Animation or Oni Chichi and enjoyed that older-woman harem dynamic, this fits comfortably in that space. It's one episode, it knows exactly what it is, and it doesn't try to be anything else. Straightforward, unpretentious, and does what it sets out to do.
