I really like how Hayate and Freyja Wion continue to support each other while facing different challenges. Their bond adds a lot of heart to the story, and the pacing, visuals, and overall storyline were enjoyable as well.

Things get very risky in this episode. The high stressed tone is very thick and suffocating in nature. The quick pacing left no room to breathe, and is paired with some good animation, that laid the foundation for massive character development.

Episode Context

Coming off the high-stakes intensity of 'Eternal Songs' in episode 19, 'Impulse Experiment' deliberately pulls back to process the fallout and let its characters reckon with where they stand emotionally and personally. Positioned at episode 20 of 26, this is firmly in the late-game territory where internal conflicts need resolution before the final arc can launch. It directly sets the stage for episode 21, 'Yearning Secret,' transitioning from personal introspection toward the broader narrative escalation that will carry the series to its conclusion.
