Episode Context

Sitting at episode 9 of 23, this lands squarely in the early-middle stretch of the season, following the heist-focused 'The All-Together Playing-Card Operation' and pivoting hard toward character-driven stakes. It serves as a breather from the procedural caper format while deepening Fujiko's backstory and the group's interpersonal dynamics. The next episode, 'Hunt Down the Counterfeiter!', steers back toward Lupin's pursuit of high-profile targets, making this a standout detour before the series resumes its adventure-forward momentum.
