Episode Context

Landing at episode 46 of 155, this episode sits comfortably in Lupin III: Part II's extended middle stretch, where the series freely rotates between heist capers and high-concept villain encounters. Following the gem-focused intrigue of 'Diamonds and Minx,' Dr. Derange represents a deliberate pivot toward sci-fi tinged danger, showcasing the show's tonal range. It feeds directly into 'Crownin' Around,' continuing the season's pattern of self-contained adventures that keep the core crew's dynamic sharp and evolving.
