Episode Context

Sitting at episode 27 of 155, this installment arrives early in Lupin III: Part II's long run, following 'Shot Through the Heart' and signaling a stretch of self-contained adventures that gradually expand the show's roster of recurring foils. The introduction of Alice hints at the series' ongoing appetite for memorable one-off characters who challenge the gang in unexpected ways. It directly sets the stage for 'Revenge of La Nerd,' where Lupin and crew will face a formidable female detective, a thematic throughline of capable women refusing to let the gang operate unchallenged.
