Honestly, this episode is a bit of a letdown after the introduction of Shikimi. The flashback doesn't give us anything new Akane has always been yandere, Seiji has always been passive, and that's basically it. I was hoping for some insight into why Seiji puts up with her, but the episode just shrugs and moves on.
