Didn't expect the major time skip but Lili's world is so devoid of colour now. Who's cutting onions in here.... I'm devastated that Lili felt like painting is hard for her now, when it was everything to her back then. Oh Lili... The only happy thing in this episode is honestly Sakura finding her voice. Lili and Shin... I don't know how to feel about it. Shin is genuinely such a great man but I feel so iffy about it. I just want Shin and Lili to ask themselves; "Is this really what they want? To live like this forever? "

The sudden shift to a noir film-esque vibe made the episode feel like it’s an old movie. Honestly, kind of symbolises Lili’s outlook on life at that point in time. The pacing was slow, giving us time to digest what is happening, since there is a change in setting. I love how Shin is so supportive and is always there for Lili, even after all this time.

The shift in time and tone is immediately noticeable, and it carries a quiet heaviness. I really love how the episode doesn’t over-explain what changed—it lets you feel it instead. The standout moment is when Lili makes a decision that feels more practical than emotional. That contrast makes it hit deeper. This episode really leans into the idea that not all choices feel good, even if they make sense.
