Episode Context

Episode 390 sits squarely within Chibi Maruko-chan's episodic rhythm, following Episode 389's warmer, family-oriented stories centered on an elderly home visit and Grandma's moon-viewing dumplings. This installment pivots the spotlight entirely to school friends Noro and Hanawa, with no narrative thread carried forward or backward. Episode 391 moves on to fresh, unrelated vignettes involving Maruko at a construction ceremony, confirming that Episode 390 is a fully self-contained stop in the series' ongoing slice-of-life parade.
